Visits are provided in Private Practice only, with direct booking through the facilities (no National Health Service referral / CUP).
We do not provide teleconsultations or online eye examinations.

Clinical protocol: what to expect

The eye examination is carried out as a standard specialist assessment, using the tools and procedures recommended by current ophthalmology guidelines for the specific case (for example slit‑lamp examination, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, fundus examination and targeted imaging).

In addition to the strictly ocular assessment, when the clinical picture suggests it, the examination may also take into account relevant general health factors. The ophthalmologist, however, does not replace the general practitioner or other specialists, and any systemic investigations are always shared with them.

Multidisciplinary pathway when appropriate

In complex situations or when a systemic contribution is suspected, management is often coordinated with other professionals (for example nutritionists, internists, gastroenterologists, rheumatologists or dermatologists), in line with their specific competencies and official recommendations.

Second‑level tests (such as OCT, visual field, advanced imaging or any ocular/intestinal microbiota analysis) are considered only when clinically appropriate and useful, and are not part of a routine protocol for all patients.
